The Rareform Rundown #53
Hello Friends,
Nathan here! This week we dive into how music helps with mindfulness (because sometimes you just need to hit play and reset) and a look at some tough stats on mental health in the music industry. A quick heads-up—our Black Sheep Music - Major Key Contest has reached it’s cutoff!
Let’s dive in

New projects
PROJECTS
Excited to share that my track Not A Game with Armanni Reign and Darby Phillips landed in Onside: Major League Soccer episodes 102 and 105! Big thanks to Apple TV+ and everyone involved for making it happen!
BSM CONTEST UPDATE
We have reached the submission cutoff (for real this time haha)! I’m excited to run through tracks and announce a winner next week!

A recent study in Frontiers in Public Health revealed some heavy stats about mental health in the music industry. Musicians in England ranked fourth in suicide rates among certain job groups, and in the U.S., arts and entertainment professionals showed similarly troubling numbers. It's a tough reminder of the mental health challenges that can come with working in creative industries.

Music has this way of slowing things down — calming your mind, grounding you, and giving you space to breathe. Whether it’s part of a meditation app or just something you throw on to clear your head, it’s a solid tool for finding some balance when life feels a little too loud.
Read our blog for more on how music can support mindfulness and well-being!

That’s it for this week!
