Dispatch #3
Hello Friends,
Nathan here with the weekly recap. It's been an exciting week here, full of... you guessed it, continuous learning. One lesson being, how to settle into enjoying the ride amidst periods of challenge and growth. Whereas for the last couple of months, I have been in extra grind mode, I am happy to have seen what I am capable of. That being said, I am also ready to dial things back an ever-so-slight touch so I can start prioritizing taking care of myself better and not forgo prioritizing exercise in order to 'get things done.' Sometimes it's time to sprint; this time, I did so for a marathon or two or three. Now, I'm looking forward to a continuous jog as we enter the next quarter of the year, so instead of burning out, we can sustain and enjoy the ride itself.
I’m also excited to see more and more questions landing in the inbox, one of which I dive into below. Please keep the questions flowing as it’s been amazing to see what all is sparking everyones interest.

New Blog Posts/Placements
I’m excited to finally announce this new placement! Check out the trailer if you haven’t yet. Would love to know your thoughts!
Check out this super quick read from our Rareform team, highlighting the role of an unsung hero in the audio world for media, the re-recording mixer. It also shouts out our boy (and Emmy awarding sound editor) Justin Lebens who has been a part of the Rareform Audio squad for a couple years now.
Quote of the week: “I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring.”
Tools
To the close friends of mine on here, you already know that I use notion religiously to keep track of everything in my life… The best part? It’s free! Probably one of the nerdiest things about me, is that I essentially use Notion databases to organize almost every aspect of my life. That being said, without it, I would not be able to keep track of projects and ideas the way I am able to thanks to this piece of software. Essentially my Notion is one giant library of mine that grows in real time. From databases for lyric ideas, track references, notes and to-do lists, to project and SOP management databases with my companies, I would be lost without it. I even built a Notion company operating system over the last few years that my team and I use religiously. If you are having a hard time, keeping track of information between different software, sheets, notes, databases, etc… Check it out. Maybe it will help you as much as it has helped me.
Productivity Hack of the Week
Eisenhower Box: Prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance. Divide your tasks into four categories: Urgent and Important, Important but Not Urgent, Urgent but Not Important, and Neither Urgent nor Important. This helps in focusing on what truly matters.
Over the last few years, I have gone from a simple and consistent to-do list (making music all day every day) to wearing multiple hats and juggling a much higher quantity of tasks throughout the days, weeks and months. This is a fairly new way of being for me, and I have found it to be extremely challenging. I have had to continuously practice getting my priorities in order and this method has helped me filter out the important signals from the louder and louder noise. I hope for anyone out there who may be feeling challenged with having a lot on their plate that this may be helpful to you as well.
Over & Out
My friends, I appreciate you as always and I'm looking forward to more discussion in the weeks to come.

P.s. I will build out a page soon where I will host previous discussions… Although first I have to tackle my Urgent & Important priorities as we discussed above <3
