The Creative Safari #17

Hey Friends,
Nathan here. It’s been another fun week on the creative path, currently tying up a few lose ends before I head to the UK for a month. This week, instead of our typical discussion on a music related topic, I though it would be fun to share a current brief that my team and I are working on over the weekend! More about that down below.
Placement-wise I’m hyped that this week the team and I shared another spot we did for Toyota featuring my Track Square One. Also my track In The Game with Madalen Duke is now out on Spotify! Last week I mentioned it landing in the trailer for Top Class Tennis, and now you can stream it here:
This Week’s Discussion (CONFIDENTIAL, DO NOT SHARE)
As I mentioned above, for this weeks discussion I want to share a music brief my team and I are working on. If you or anyone you know makes music like Myth by Beach House please drop a line over to my music coordinator Jaime via email: [email protected] - If you have friends who make this type of music, please do not forward this email or brief to them, instead reach out directly to the email above and we will contact them!
Last Week’s Discussion (For Those Who Missed It)
Toyota “Lady Like” Spot:
Check out my track Square One in this Toyota spot below!
A Note To Live Performing Artists:
if you are an artist that plays live and performs your own music, make sure you submit your set list to your PRO. ASCAP has a service called ASCAP OnStage, BMI has BMI Live and the others have their own as well. You could be leaving performance money on the table!
Quick Personal Discussion on Music & Entrepreneurship:
This week I share some aspects that I find fascinating regarding music and entrepreneurship.
For the TLDR version regarding Jay Z, The Beatles and Imogen Heap:
Embrace Innovation
Control Your Narrative
Diversify Your Ventures
Build a Community
Quick Recap of Last Weeks Ayahuasca Story
For those who missed it last week or if you’re new to the party, last week I shared a social media clip describing how I got into trailer music through a woman my Dad met in Peru doing Ayahuasca. I finally got around to creating a quick blog article. Read the article and/or check out the video here:
New Rareform Audio Blog:
This week one of our previous interns Harmony Redford, dives into some insight regarding the importance of scores in documentaries!
Tool of the Week: DISCO
I know I previously mentioned DISCO on here before, however my team and I use it every day and I finally had a moment to share a few more details about it. Check this super quick article on the perks it offers for managing a music catalog!
Nathan Out!
As always, I appreciate you all! Big love and catch you next week.
-Nathan
