The Creative Safari #4

Hello Friends,
Here with your weekly dispatch, it’s been a fun and creative week full of all sorts of projects and surprises. To kick things off this week, in place of our usual discussion, I wanted to do something a little different. As a huge thank you for the support, I want to share a special sneak peak into some unreleased music I’ve been working on.
I had the pleasure of producing a number of records with the very talented Madalen Duke. She’s been crushing it with a steady following on Spotify, bouncing around the 1 million monthly listener mark. Her, my dude Darby Phillips, and myself cooked up a bunch of new tracks inspired by both the cinematic trailer realm and the upbeat advertisement space. Please enjoy them below, I’m not sure exactly how long this I’ll be able to keep this link active :)
New Music Out Today
This is a new one for me, something I never imagined making, none the less, I love a good collaboration and a fun challenge. It’s a modern take on the good old country/blues vibes. I’ve probably laughed more times related to this song than any other, both during and after the creation. From trap on Monday, to Horror on Tuesday and Country/Blues on Wednesday, that’s what it’s all about for me, having fun, creating and not taking life too seriously. None the less, it was a blast to knock out this track with my boys Ryan Innes and Stefan Lit. I’m manifesting it landing in a truck advertisement one of these days, stay tuned!
New Blog Post
Here my team discussed the process of finding the right composer for a project, specifically geared towards indie game developers and how we at Rareform have a roster of amazing talent (many of you readers included) and can help pair up the right team for our clients needs.
Quote of the week: “The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
New Tools!
I’ve been needing a new portable hard drive or two as I have been traveling a bunch and my main 8TB hard drive is absolutely HUGE. I spent some time digging around and came across this awesome find. Super small, durable, fast, SSD and comes in 8TB, 4TB, or 2TB and each one is at a great price for their size. It still doesn’t seem real that the 8TB can be this size considering my last one is 8x bigger, not a solid state, and even needs it’s own power supply. Check out this quick blog (linked above) with some more info if you are curious!
Productivity Hack of the Week
Feeling overwhelmed by a task? Try the 5-Minute Rule. The concept is simple yet powerful: commit to working on a task for just five minutes. Often, the hardest part is getting started, and this method tricks your brain into taking the first step. In many cases, once you begin, you'll find yourself continuing past the initial five minutes, gaining momentum to keep going. It's perfect for breaking procrastination and making progress on those daunting tasks. I had to use this one when I wasn’t feeling the most motivated after having not had a day off in quite sometime. I find usually I’m not actually burnt out, it’s just my mind needs to be redirected towards a creative route rather than on “what I have to do today.” Hope it helps!
Big Thanks!
To all my fellow earthlings, I hope you have a lovely weekend and if you celebrate Easter, happy Easter! Till next week.
