The Creative Safari #8

Hello Friends,
I hope all is well in your world! It’s been a big week over here for my team and I. We’ve had multiple new music and sound design placements confirmed for advertisements and trailers. The one I am excited to highlight today is the new Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer featuring one of our Black Sheep Music tracks composed by my friend Bojan Katalina! For today’s discussion, I’m going to talk a little about this specific placement and the unorthodox incorporation of music that can sometimes go on behind the scenes of a trailer.

Productivity (and Happiness) Finds
Work less accomplish more: After taking a little time off for the first time in ages. it’s given me a chance to reflect. What’s working and what is not? It’s easy to have a bunch of ideas and a lot happening, yet are all of those things really the best to be working on? What’s the most important things to be working on? Where does my happiness fit into this? I definitely hit a few different levels of burn out this last year. Taking some time off to relax and most importantly reflect gave me a huge amount of clarity when stepping back into work this week and the ability to have my priorities crystal clear. One person I listened to recent is Cal Newport, who talks about the art of doing less and accomplishing more. Check out more about him and his concepts below!
Nathan Out!
Till next week!
