The Creative Safari #9

Hello Friends,
It’s been a wild and amazing week here. From announcing the first of multiple Toyota Motorsports placements my team and I worked on (this one featuring my track Square One) to working on multiple new projects that I can’t wait to announce. For this weeks discussion I want to share a little behind the scenes of the process that goes into finding the right track for a project.

Productivity Hack
Themes work days - After going from simply writing music all day every day for over a decade, to adding on managing multiple companies, I definitely struggled managing when to do certain tasks, so I started (loosely) setting themed work days to help get a clear sense of when things would get done consistently rather than just constantly battling each obstacle that came in my way in real time:
How Themed Workdays Work:
Assign a Theme to Each Day: Start by dividing your work responsibilities into broad categories. For example, Monday could be for meetings and planning, Tuesday for creative work like writing or designing, Wednesday for client calls or outreach, Thursday for project development, and Friday for review and administrative tasks.
Plan Your Week Around These Themes: Once you have your days themed, plan your tasks around these themes. This helps in maintaining focus as you’re not constantly switching between different types of tasks.
Adjust as Necessary: It's flexible; themes can be adjusted based on your workload or deadlines. The key is to group similar tasks together to minimize context switching, which is known to drain energy and decrease productivity.
iI appreciate you!
Hope you have a great weekend
-Nathan
